About

Annie grew up in Northern California’s Bay Area and currently resides in Irvine, CA. She is a University of California, Berkeley graduate, with a B.A. in Environmental Economics and Policy. Over the past seven years, Annie has been actively involved in the competitive gaming scene. Starting with Unreal Tournament 2004, she found her first success in fast-paced shooters. However, it wasn’t until Epic’s next title in the series, Unreal Tournament 3 that she began to emerge as a top player. Since then she has been a predominant and successful dueler having placed top three in multiple national tournaments for the game. Annie also became the first female to start for an all-male team in 2008 when it was announced that she was signed and sponsored by North America’s top professional gaming organization, Team Evil Geniuses.

Consoles are no stranger to her either, as she happens to be the world’s undisputed best female Guitar Hero player. Starting with Guitar Hero III, she quickly climbed to the top of the global competitive ranking system. She went on to prove her position by taking first place in the World Cyber Games’08 qualifiers and then again at the WCG’09 regional tournament. Annie is the only female to qualify two years consecutively for the WCG US National Finals. In just a little over three years, Annie has not only become the best female in the world but also one of the top five players in the entire nation. In the fall of 2010, Guinness World Records certified Annie as the record holder for the highest score in Guitar Hero III for a female and featured her accomplishment in the 2011 Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition. Annie hopes to be an inspiration to male and female gamers alike as she seeks to bring attention and status to eSports.
